Where does the future lie for Sony?

2019-09-03 22:54 #0 by: jordan

While news surrounding the next generation of consoles has been fairly quiet, some details have been presented to a small crowd, in which they were treated to a short demonstration. Using the PS4 game Marvels Spider-man, the main deduction that can be made is that everything is going to be faster...

Much, much faster!

While it takes the PS4 Pro around 8 seconds to load the map, the development model of what we assume to be the PS5 takes A SECOND. This is in part due to a custom Solid State Drive SSD that Sony have developed for the console, coinciding with other technological advancements.

We don't know what exactly is to come, but it is looking like the power levels will be ramped up to 11 for the next generation of consoles coming in the next few years.

#1 Yeah it is! As long as it is the same size as the initial HDD in there originally then it should fit in the same slot as before! Personally I only bought an external HDD as it was too expensive at the time, but you could really cut down on loading times if you opt for it!

#2 From what rumors are out there it isn't looking cheap! I've seen anywhere from £500 to £1,000!

#4 Thanks. That looks very straight forward.

#6: Usually replacing a hard disk drive with a solid state disk is an easy task, unless the manufacturer has made the HDD hard to reach.
